In this course, we will look at cooperative learning activities, both with and without a specific language learning aim, as well as how to adapt these activities to your own learners’ needs. If you need a general overview of what cooperative learning is, please see the introductory course in this series, called 'Getting Started with Cooperative Learning'.
In working through this course, you will see how language learners can use these activities to work on specific language aims, as well as learning skills that help them to navigate their own learning. These skills include how to clarify meaning, make suggestions, generate and negotiate ideas with others, reflect on experiences, exercise their imaginations, learn to formulate questions, practice vocabulary, work on active listening, and develop problem-solving strategies and critical thinking.
